At ₹20,000, the pre-owned Samsung is still the best capacity-per-rupee option. It loses the bottom-freezer preference, but it gives roughly 440 L usable storage at a price where new bottom-freezer alternatives are either much smaller or 2–5× more expensive.
Score assumes: compressor quiet, cooling strong, no leakage/ice buildup, door gasket seals well, and seller allows at least a short return/service window. If it is exactly going into a 70 cm niche with no side clearance, downgrade sharply.

Bottom-freezer models under 70 cm exist, but the market clusters into two groups: compact 265–360 L models around ₹29k–52k, or larger 400–453 L models around ₹61k–98k. Large bottom-freezer + good efficiency + ≤70 cm is hard to find cheaply.
At ₹8–₹10 per unit, 295 kWh/year is about ₹2,360–₹2,950/year. A more efficient 340 L bottom-freezer around 250 kWh/year saves only ₹360–₹450/year, so electricity savings alone do not justify spending ₹25k–₹40k more.
Real use varies with ambient heat, ventilation, door opening, thermostat setting, gasket condition, and loading.

Near misses: Haier 445 L bottom mount is often listed at ~70.3 cm wide, just over the hard 70 cm limit. Electrolux 529 L is ~79.6 cm wide and fails. Large French-door/side-by-side models generally fail the width requirement.
Take the Samsung if it passes inspection and you can get a short warranty/return window. Try for ₹17k–18k, or keep ₹20k only if delivery/installation/return is included.
